My first science teacher taught me that stars are celestial balls of gases and they do some stuff… I don’t remember the rest but it doesn’t matter because this isn’t an astronomy site. I also grew up learning that a star could also be a killer rock musician or an iconic leading lady in film. You see, it used to be that you had to actually DO SOMETHING to be a star. In fact, you needed to do it well AND consistently. Merriam-Webster defines star as “a person who is preeminent in a particular field”. For my friends in the South, preeminent means outstanding or supreme.
Well, I guess the Palin’s are stars, or so says my TV guide. You see Bristol is going to be on Dancing with the Stars, which means that she must be outstanding at giving up the poonani because if she wasn’t the daughter of a dippable failure of a politician, Bristol would be just another teenage pregnancy statistic.
So why the fuck is she considered a star? It’s simple, Bristol comes from a rare stock of fame-whores. The irony here is that they do everything they can to become celebrities, but when someone questions their motivation, they act like they’re just a simple down to earth family.
I love this video of a native Alaskan from Homer, confronting Sarah on abandoning her responsibility as an elected official to go off an be a celebrity. Even though Sarah AND Bristol debate that they aren’t, the fact of the matter is that Sarah was in Homer to film a TV show. Perhaps Bristol was picking up a few moves at the same time.

It is shameful that Republican Governor Chris Christie is being betrayed as a hero and the strong hand of the Republican Party! The truth he is seen as nasty and disrespectful. Which in the eyes of the Republican base is good leadership! He has done NOTHING for New Jersey but be nasty and attack teacher! Also the white control media and the Republican Party is promoting Christie as a Republican Presidential candidate for 2012! For losing 400 million dollars in Federal money for New Jersey, Then the gutless coward blame the Federal Government! For increasing the Governor’s staff of people that make $90,000 to $130,000. From 11 under Corzine to 33 under Christie! For shutting down a project that would have brought in over 40 thousand jobs! For attacking shamefully teacher fireman and police officers! But especially teachers! Christie wants to eliminate tenure and make teacher more accountable! Which is wonderful! BUT in this country police officers have shot unarmed minority in the back while handcuffed. They are back to work before the victim is out the hospital or in the ground! They are not treated as harsh as Christie is treating teachers! Christie wants to get rid of teachers that student may not perform well and blame and or fire that teacher! WHICH IS WRONG! All children don’t learn at the same rate! What will happen if Christie gets his way! More children will be classified! So that teachers will not be judge by their poor learning children! Therefore special ED teacher will be needed at a higher cost then regular teachers! Just talking nasty DOES NOT MAKE YOU A LEADER!!!
